If you are interested in a career as a laboratory professional, there is a scholarship that can help you reach your goals. Siemens recognizes the important role laboratory professionals play in quality healthcare and offers three clinical science scholarship programs for students (MT/CLS, CLT/MLT and Legacy scholarships).

MT/CLS Scholarships

  • Value: $2,500 each
  • Number of scholarships: 34
  • Who: students in approved Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist programs
  • Partner: the American Society for Clinical Pathology administers this program on behalf of Siemens
  • Student Eligibility:
    • Currently enrolled in an NAACLS accredited program AND be in the fourth year or final clinical year of education by the application close date
    • Minimum GPA of 2.8 out of 4.0
    • A United States citizen OR a permanent United States resident
    • A completed application packet, submitted to ASCP by November 1, 2008.

CLT/MLT Scholarships

  • Number of scholarships: 50
  • Value: $ 1,000 each
  • Who: students in approved Clinical Laboratory Technician/Medical Laboratory Technician programs
  • Partner: the Coordinating Council on the Clinical Laboratory Workforce administers this program on behalf of Siemens
  • Student Eligibility:
    • Currently enrolled in an NAACLS accredited program AND complete final year of study by August 31, 2009
    • Have a minimum 2.5 GPA
    • A completed application packet, submitted to CCCLW in care of Mr. Joe Briden by November 1, 2008.

Legacy Scholarships

  • Number of scholarships: 5
  • Value: $ 5,000 each
  • Who: students who are the children, grandchildren, or siblings of clinical laboratory professionals, and pursue a degree in clinical laboratory science in approved Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist and Clinical Laboratory Technician/Medical Laboratory Technician programs
  • Partner: the American Society for Clinical Pathology administers this program on behalf of Siemens
  • Student Eligibility:
    • Currently enrolled in an NAACLS accredited program AND be in the fourth year or final clinical year of education by the application close date
    • Minimum GPA of 2.8 out of 4.0
    • The child, grandchild, or sibling of a certified MT/CLS or MLT/CLT
    • A United States citizen OR a permanent United States resident
    • A completed application packet, submitted to ASCP by November 1, 2008.
