Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics

Siemens Medical Solutions has entered the in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) market with its acquisition of Diagnostic Products Corporation (DPC) in mid-2006, and pending acquisition of Bayer Diagnostics. Upon completion of the Bayer acquisition, which is expected by early 2007, Bayer and DPC will merge and become Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, the world’s first full-service diagnostics company, holding the No. 2 market position in immunodiagnostics, and the No. 3 market position in in-vitro diagnostics.
