"Our laboratory needed to find a way to increase capacity without adding personnel or space, yet retain our strong reputation for good service to our clients. Today, with the ADVIA LabCell, ADVIA 1650 and ADVIA Centaur systems, we are delivering more results in less time, utilizing fewer resources."

Predicting today what you’ll need in 5 years is difficult. With the modular components that make up ADVIA LabCell, you can automate sample management today as well as being able to manage the inevitable changes in your operation. Through partnership with Bayer automation consultants, you determine what, when and how to integrate and automate. You gain the peace of mind of obtaining a complete system from one major diagnostics partner who is responsible to you for a high-quality, integrated and customized automated solution.
"We wanted a system that would allow our laboratory to remain in control of our work processes. The modular design of the components and the high degree of flexibility in the ADVIA LabCell software have provided the freedom for us to make changes as they are needed."

In an ideal world, every laboratory would be alike and one solution would work for everyone. You would have a single sample tube type throughout your entire facility. The same test requests for every patient. An identical route for every sample. And no aliquots. But the world is not ideal.
Fortunately, the modular concept employed with ADVIA LabCell provides the flexibility to adapt to virtually any laboratory conditions - from the size and shape of the space available for an automation system to handling a wide variety of tube sizes and types.
You can configure the system to your laboratory’s floor plan and needs, selecting from among a variety of components only those that are needed to implement the solution for your laboratory.
"A major challenge has been to absorb increasing test volumes given the growing shortage of skilled laboratory professionals. Our solution was to invest in newer and better technology, including more automation. The ADVIA LabCell will allow for substantial growth in volume without having to add staffing, while maintaining the lab’s reputation for quality and service."

Results are Presented by Patient:
instead of by department or by instrument so that a complete picture of the patient status is available to the reviewer. Results across the various specialties are seen together so any results that don’t agree with the potential diagnosis can be investigated before the report is released from the laboratory facilitating better decisions and improved review & edit decisions.
Cytograms Viewable with Results:
ADVIA 120 hematology results can be viewed along with their corresponding cytograms so that result review is simpler to accomplish. Additionally operators can view instrument data and cytograms at the microscope and can perform differentials directly at the workstation keyboard.
Multi-system Data Manager: ADVIA CentraLink provides the real-time ability to manage patient and QC data coming from all connected instruments at any of the client workstations.
Patient/QC Result Linkage:
Real-time, across-control, multiple-instrument QC management functions are accessible from the patient review and Edit screen. If a patient result has a QC flag because one of the Westgard rules was violated, with 2 mouse clicks you can see the daily QC results for the affected test and instrument. Data are displayed in order of aspiration date and time and the view can be increased to include all the instruments that perform the same test.
Across-Controls View: Chronological listing of all controls run within a day for a specific test sorted by instrument.
